Got a performance, a piece, dance or juggling number, recital, a solo, exhibitionist golo, a scandal, torture, culture shock, an activist protest or punk rock?! Don't just lie there, you too can be Fattackin!!! Download the application forms and send it untill first day of spring MARCH 21st!

Three steps to FAKI

1 Carefully fill in appplication forms /CLICK on each form to fill in/
i group form
ii personal and travel form
iii technical requirements form
Email the forms to fakifest@gmail.com before 21st of March 2010, in case that shipment is late.

2 Prepare video/photo material on a DVD
All applications are reviewed by the selectors. The main criterion for selection is the quality of the show itself. A couple of attractive photos to include in program book, will bring the audience to your show! Be sure to print out the forms and pack everything in a big envelope.

3 apply for FAKI
All materials, CD/DVD _and_printed forms send by mail to our address no later than March 21st 2010. If necessary, the FAKI team will contact you with further questions and requests.

WORKSHOP:
Migui MandalaSol (Spain)

A workshop by the Spanish artist Migui MandalaSol will take place 21-25 May 2009, during the 12th FAKI festival in Zagreb, in the Dvorana za izvedbenu umjetnost (Performing Arts Hall) of the Autonomous Cultural Centre MEDIKA.

The workshop is divided into three phases of work:
>our body and movement (investigation of the body and movement, metamorphosis, liberation of movement through emotion)
> consciousness of space and environment (through Butoh technique, improvisation, cubism)
> object (involving the knowledge of juggling, siteswaps, basics of swing, cubism in juggling).

Migui ManadalaSol focuses in his work on investigating new forms, his performance is situated within the boundaries of the Butoh dance expression and juggling techniques. He started his work at 16 as a juggler and then moved to Japan where for a few years he lived and professionally perfected himself. He was involved in festivals in Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, France, and Italy and also in the FUČ festival in Pula.

WORKSHOP:
Discover the weirdo inside you!

The main focus of the workshop is to develop individual an interactive characters that are not based on the theatre text or a certain theatre action but rather on the individual traits of the performer. With the help of these characters the people that take part in the workshop will investigate specific principles of open interaction with the audience as an area between classic theatre and pure improvisation.

Vida Cerkvenik Bren and Sanja Žmavc are members of the grup LJUD which has been working with interactive theatre in public and ambiental spaces for many years.

The worskhop is held in the Autonomous Cultural Centre Medika from the 19th to the 22nd of May, every day from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All people that are involved in the workshop will be offered the opportunity to show what they have learned on the 22nd in the space of interactive KUD LJUD “Electric invasions”
The workshop is free! All people of all levels of acting skills, age and experience can be involved because of the individual process of character construction.
